bad decisions in daily life and potential causes

are bad decisions in many aspects of daily life a result of deficient primary education (esp. math + logic skills) in many countries?

This implies that students of math & logic make good decisions. I like to think there aren't bad decisions but instead, the absence of decisions...

yet, research in the UK has shown that consumers do not take advantage of discount offers due to deficient basic math skills!!!
